Flore is the founder and CEO of Fondation pour l'Avancement des Femmes Haitiennes (FAFHA). Flore has worked for 31 years for the Federal Government and holds a PhD in Public Policy and Administration. Flore believes that the empowerment of women is a winning strategy for poverty reduction in Haiti and this is her leading motivation for creating this foundation.
Magalie is a registered nurse with the city of New-york for the past 25 years. She holds a masters degree in Health care Management and is ready to serve this foundation in the capacity of Senior Advisor.
Louise is a registered nurse who pursued her studies in Canada. Louise is a dynamic wife, mother and friend who brings to this organization a vast knowledge of community affairs. Louise will serve in the capacity of Associate Executive Director with oversight power on all committees.
Esperanta is a Departmental Coordinator for the Ministry of Women’s Affairs and Women’s Rights in Haiti. Esperanta is assisting in many Capacity Building projects in Haiti. She has received extensive professional training in Legal Studies, Foreign languages including a diploma in Gender equity studies with the ILO in Paris. Esperanta brings a lot of Human Resource knowledge and dynamism to this foundation. She will assist us in the capacity of a Field Operations Supervisor in Haiti.
Marie-Joe is a highly skilled Secretary with a myriad of experience in administrative work. She has worked for many high profile organizations such as the United Nations. Marie-Joe will be a valuable asset to this organization as she takes charge of all administrative duties.
School Entrance is very stressful for Haitian families. We will take donations from individuals as well as local businesses and use them to assist low-income single mothers with their children. Help us connect with donors and with people in need.
Every month, we will meet with mothers to reiterate the importance of engagement in their children's education. Those meetings will also serve as counseling sessions to help families cope with any life difficulties they might be dealing with.
Our community is full of women who have an entrepreneurial spirit. We want to empower them by creating literacy programs for those in need. We also want to help them learn a trade or skill as a source of financial support for their families.
